Going paperless will be hard. I know when it comes to books, I still prefer reading paperback but when it comes to business marketing, there's still value on postcards, business cards especially in networking events.  Though I'm sure there will be an app for that sometime in the future or is there one already?  From: http://www.eprintfast.com/

Most of the expense in printing comes from the ink and hidden costs. Though there’s a campaign to go paperless, there are still instances when printing is unavoidable as the move to electronic communication has not entirely cut printing. The best way, in my opinion, to drive down printing cost is to look at what and why you print before spending. Those are just my insights which came from this post: http://adcreative.wordpress.com/2012/06/02/is-printing-too-costly-for-small-businesses/

I agree that paper products can be pricey, but to offset some of the prices, you should go digital. RPM Remote Print Manager? What is that can you tell us in detail

We have a software product, RPM Remote Print Manager, that can reduce or eliminate many of these costs. It has features for document format conversion, PDF Output, and Email Delivery of printed documents. It supports input from Windows, *nix Systems, and Legacy / Mainframe systems.

I agree that paper products can be pricey, but to offset some of the prices, you should go digital. Especially for recurring prints (ie. business cards), having a digital template will drive the price down.
