Cool Infographic the key is to use these sparringly as I don't see web visitors wanting to read an infographic the whole time they are there.

The lack of consumer confidence is driving down spending. This is hurting the small business community. No longer is it "when can you start" it's, "I'm getting 4 quotes". The emphasis has to be on selling and providing a service. not just doing a job for the cheapest dollar.

Great information for small business planning.

Small business are getting hurt by big company's like walmart making it all most impossible to compete. In the old days the government just to give grants to help this small business but I'm afraid those days are gone.

Very interesting studie. Could you give more details about the small business cutting back. How can i inderstand 16966 $ for example ? What king of expense it covers ? By employee ? Can you tell me what do you mean with "services" whan you speak about how small business spend ?Best Regards

I for one, am not worried. The DOW is up, and the benefits will trickle down. It's just a matter of time before the recovery spreads to small businesses. Then we can resume our rightful place as the dynamo of continuing growth.

Brilliant infographic!Small businesses are the true drivers of the modern economy. It is extremely frightening to see these statistics representing just how dramatically they are cutting back. The breakdown of expenses are also fascinating. I thought it was just us who had such a large payroll, its good to see that we're not the only one.

And this is why internet business is becoming more common, less payroll. There is no way to save on the bottom line.
