Chief Operating Officer (COO)

A Chief Operating Officer (COO), also called the Chief Operations Officer, is a senior manager who supervises a company’s daily operations and reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on the C-Suite level. A Chief Operating Officer (COO) can sometimes be the company President. In smaller companies and in different industries, the COO’s duties can be performed by a Director of Operations, VP of Operations or an Executive Director.
